Apple’s new productivity push
Every year Apple puts on a show called the WWDC for developers. And it previews the next operating systems for their devices. This year, it seems, they’re pushing into the productivity space.

Summary
Apple previewed their new iOS and macOS at the developer conference. The Mac side looks interesting for productivity, but I won’t install beta software because the Mac is already simple. The iOS lock screen seems complicated with widgets and complications, and I prefer things to be simpler. I hope the new OS is good, but they hope they won’t force you to use the new features.

So Apple had their annual developer conference, and they basically previewed their new iOS and Mac OS, which was called Ventura, I think. I hate these names. Give me the damn number. 10.13, I think. But anyway, on the Mac side of things, I mean, you guys know that I’m a MacJunky, right? So on the Mac side of things, it seems pretty interesting. The fact that they’re going into productivity. They had the thing called something stayed. I don’t keep up with the names of these things because I think they’re stupid. It’s like just be productive. Why have names for these things? Yes, I call it Tech Minimalism, but that kind of describes what it is. Anyway, so they’ve come out with the whole productivity thing and as you know, I’m the MacJunky and it kind of got me intrigued as to what the case of it are.
To be honest, it doesn’t, from what I see at the moment, I’m not going to install beta software on my devices ever. I never do. I used to in the past, but I never do. But it seems like that it’s kind of trying to fix a, fix a problem that actually isn’t there. Because the Mac in itself, the operating system, I should say, is really quite simple. And it’s organised in such a way where you can be a Tech Minimalist and a MacJunky at the same time. So they’ve added these new features and I’m really looking forward to checking them out to see how, if my productivity actually gets any better. I mean, I’m a productivity guy, I guess. So it’s already good. But they really did intrigue me.
The one thing on the iOS, though, iOS 16, I think they’re complicated. The front screen the lock screen because you can now add things like complications and things like that like you can on the watch. I don’t have the watch I don’t see the reason to have it so it be interesting to see what kind of widgets people come out with but again I like things that are just simple there’s nothing on it I don’t I don’t want to be inundated with notifications and widgets and things like that to get my work done because getting your work done is getting your work done not looking at fancy schmancy stupid stuff that you just don’t need to see.
So that’s my mini review of what went on with apple yesterday. I really do hope the, I mean, I’m sure that the new operating system is going to be good, um, but I hope that they don’t force it upon you to use these new features because I think that’s kind of silly. Anyway, I’m still here in south of France, south of Spain, and I stopped off at this kind of pine forest. Check it out and the beach is right over there. I don’t know if you can hear it. Anyhow, have a great day. Be a MacJunky and a Tech Minimalist, and I’ll see you next time. Ciao.
