Can radio silence can be a good thing?

I’ve been ‘radio silent’ for a little while, so here’s an update…

Spain

You may have seen some of my emails/posts while I was in Spain. Man it was a great trip.

Truth be told, I wish I was still there. But alas, I had to come back for a project and to help my cousin build the barn.

I love the fact that that I’m not fixed to a location, so can help where I can and enjoy the moment.

Oh, one little nugget of information about ‘coming back’… the truck broke down in France!

AAGGHH!!

It took me many long walks, 1 coach, 1 bus, 1 taxi, 2 hire cars and 4 days to get back to NL!

I’m waiting for the ANWB to bring the truck back to me so I can work on it. It should be here in a few days.

Yeah annoying, but life is an adventure… so live it!

Online

My ‘online tech stack’ has been annoying me for quite a while. I mean, how freaking hard is it to have a website, email and newsletter work simply!

Even though I love HEY and how it works, it’s missing the ‘X’ factor for me. So I’m back to having a VPS where I’m in control of it all.

This past weekend, I installed and setup the VPS, rebuilt the website from ground up, and setup my newsletter service to ‘just work’!

I have to ‘warm up’ my domain/IP address so that my newsletter will hit the inbox 100% of the time. So for aa little while they may end up in the junk box.

If it does land in the junk folder for you please do let me know, because it’ll help me in the future.

Work

Work has been a little slow due to not doing much outreach.

Also removing myself from social media in the form of not posting as much as I should, hasn’t helped.

So since I had to wait for my truck to arrive, I got off my ass and got everything setup.

And got a few new clients under my belt. Great!

However, having a broken transmission is no fun and more funds are needed…

So if you, or someone you know is in need of a Tech Minimalist or a MacJunky, reply to this email.
