Summary

Someone told me my website was so simple it would be invisible, and that stuck with me. That’s exactly what I mean, make your tech and IT as invisible as possible so you don’t fight it. The productivity app doesn’t exist, it’s you and how you work. Get your tech invisible and you’ll get a lot more done.

Raw

A few weeks ago, somebody gave me a compliment about my website. And it’s kind of stuck with me, and I’ve started using it as like a tagline. He said to me, if it was any simpler, it would be invisible.

And they got me thinking about what I talk about and what I try to recommend for people to try to make their tech as simple as possible, so they don’t have to have the friction with it or the headaches with it, you have to make your IT and technology as invisible as possible.

And the way to do that is to actually make it simple. So you don’t have to think about doing something. It should be second nature. It should be like speaking a language. Get to your computer, get to your workstation, whatever it is, and just get on with working rather than fighting with that thing that you need to do.

So making it so simple, it’s invisible, is just such a eye-opener for me in the way to describe what I do and what I think people should be doing. Because if you’re constantly fighting with your tech and IT, you’re not going to get too much done. You’re not going to be productive.

We’re constantly on the search. You’re constantly on the search for the productivity app. It doesn’t exist. It’s you. It’s your mind and how you work. But if you have your tech as invisible as possible, you better to get a lot more done.

I’ll leave that with you. Let me know what you think below and follow, subscribe. I’m actually on Twitter a lot more now. So if you get over on Twitter, there’ll be a link below. Let me know there.

Talk to you later. Ciao.
