Simplicity is basically white space, like designers use on websites. When things are simple, you don’t second guess or get anxious. Build simplicity into your app, your business, your website, whatever, and you’ll give yourself and your clients breathing space. Stop complicating things and give yourself the space to think.

You know, I talk about simplicity a lot. And one thing that comes to mind is having enough space for simplicity, having simplicity create that relaxed feeling.

Designers call it white space when it comes to designing on a website, for instance. Having that white space makes that reader think a little better, focus on what you want them to do, effectively.

So the white space for me is the simplicity in my life. Having things simplified, having things in such a way where I don’t have to think or second guess what’s going on is a lot better than getting anxious as to, oh my God, what shall I do? Oh my God, this is so complicated. I just can’t be bothered to do it.

So whether you’re building an app, whether you’re running a business, building a website, whatever it is that you’re trying to do, do, build simplicity into it. So let simplicity give you that space to be able to do what you want to do and in fact convey what you want to convey to the end user, the client, the customer or whatever.

Give them that breathing space and give yourself that breathing space because if it’s too complicated, even for you, it’s going to be complicated for your clients and everyone else around. So give yourself simplicity and make that give you the space to think.
