Productivity is dying
Reading through the comments of a very interesting Tweet this morning, it seems many are getting fed up with ‘productivity’ apps, and I’m here for it!

Summary
Productivity seems to be dying because people are fed up with all these apps and systems. It was never about the app, it’s about your system and what you do, not copying someone else. People are waking up and realising that a simple to do list works better than a rabbit hole of apps. I told you so.

Well, it’s happened. It seems like productivity is dying.
I woke up this morning to this tweet, and I went through all the replies, and I was actually replying to a lot of them. And it seems like a lot of people have fed up with these productivity apps, productivity systems.
These are the things that I talk about all the time. It’s not the app. It’s not the system. It’s your system that makes you productive. It’s not the fact that you’re stealing how someone else is working that you’re going to get, you’re going to be as productive, and it just seems to me that a lot of people are talking about, you know, I went through a rabbit hole of productivity apps, waste of time, and then they know they list the apps that they do use, and it’s actually two, two, one of them I don’t like, which is Notion, and Apple Notes is the other one.
I’ve tried so many project management tools, the only thing that works for me by far is a simple to do list. I, I mean, this is the point, and this is what I try to talk about all the time. It’s not the app, the fact that you keep seeing these apps and these companies and these gurus and these influencers, YouTube videos, tweets, whatever, talking about specific apps. And it’s all rubbish, because it seems like people are waking up to the fact that productivity is dying in the sense that all the apps are dying.
Productivity is within you, what you do, not what someone else is trying to force you to do something. So I’m going to link this down below. Just go and have a look and reply to me below or email me and let me know your system and let me know how you are working. It’ll be interesting, maybe even reply to that thread and then I will see it.
I told you so. I don’t want to say I told you so, but I told you so. See you next time. Ciao.
