RSS to Telegram via Make

I made a automation (oh how I hate that word) workflow to auto publish my posts from this site to my Telegram community channel.

Make, the automation platform, makes it easy to pull an RSS feed then post directly to Telegram via a Bot I created.

It makes my life a little easier now that I’ve moved away from social media and purely concentrating on my own platform and community.

Lose the automation

Automation is great, but I personally don’t use any automation within my workflow. I prefer to do things manually than lose the human with in my business.

Are you using automation because you’re busy?

I’ve often said that automation is for the lazy and unorganised. However, I also know that it’s a tool to help the busy get organised. The issue I find is that often it’s used due to people being too busy rather than their need for it.

Minimal effort, maximum output

Well are all lazy and want an easy way to do things and I don’t think there is anything wrong with that.

Email automation isn’t for everyone

Automation can be a good thing, but for your email, not so much. It’s fine to automate one or two things, but if you use automation too much, you can get lost in a sea of ‘inboxes’.

Automation is a blessing and a curse

Automation is functional, but only if you use it sparingly. I found myself drowning in a lot of automated systems, and I found I wasn’t able to breathe, so I stripped it all back and started again, and it felt great!

Email is not the problem

After reading a post in a group I’m involved with, it got me thinking about email and the services out there trying to help you organise.

Zapier makes mundane tasks easier

Automation might be annoying to set up at the start, but man it can help you save a ton of time!
