The 80/20 rule to rule them all
Many know the 80/20 rule. However, I don’t think they know how to implement it into their life as a whole. Let me explain my thoughts.

Summary
The 80-20 rule works for everything, and for me that means 80% of my time is my life and 20% is work. I don’t understand hustle culture and multiple streams of income, you’re supposed to be living your life, not working all the time. I’ve had money and lost it, and it never made me happier. Keep your life simple, enjoy it, and don’t listen to those Twitter people pushing hustle all day.

You know the 80-20 rule works with everything. And the way I deal with the 80-20 is that 80% of my time is spent on my life, doing personal stuff, spending with my friends, with my dog, going traveling, and 20% of my time is spent on work.
So I wake up one, I wake up, this is my routine, I wake up and say, what should I do today? Because my work is pretty much organised. I do like three to four hours a day. So the 80% I can basically of my of my day I can do anything I want effectively.
Thing I don’t understand is why people are pushing this hustle culture of Multiple streams of income multiple this multiple that hustle hustle hustle make sure you do this. It makes no sense to me because You’re supposed to be living your life. You’re not supposed to be hustling all the time and not enjoying what you’re doing.
You may be enjoying your work, but if you don’t spend time on your family, on your, on the things that you enjoy doing, for me, I think it’s waste, wait, you’re wasting your time.
I don’t quite understand why people need so much money, so much income, so many multiple streams of income. I have one income and I love it. It makes me more than a enough money to do what I need to do. And I spend my time with my dog, with my car, building my other car, doing the things I want. And I do make enough money.
Mind you, hasn’t always been like this. I mean, I’m past 50 now. So I’ve gained and lost many times. I failed many times. But I’ve found out later on in life that money isn’t everything. I’ve had money, I’ve lost money, multiple times. But every time I’ve had money, it didn’t really make me any happier. Just didn’t.
Yes, I could pay bills and so on, but it didn’t actually make me happier. I’ve had the car, I’ve had the houses, I’ve had the blah, blah, blah, blah. I’ve had it all. But I’ve come to realise the simpler my life is, the better it is. That’s why now I spend 80% of my time living my life. And only 20% of my time working because I don’t need everything. And you don’t need everything. It’s not necessary to have everything all the time.
And it’s crazy to me where people on Twitter, I’m on Twitter, a hell of a lot now, keep pushing this narrative of multiple streams of income, you know, push, push, make X amount per month, whatever. It’s like, well, where is this money going? Yes, you can buy the house and you can buy the car and you’ve got a nest egg. But do you need all of that all the time? To me, it makes absolutely no sense.
So the 80-20 rule, if you really want to enjoy your life, make 80% of your life, 80% of your time, life and 20% of that work. Whatever you do at work is up to you. I enjoy my work. Don’t get me wrong. And I work all the time. I work on my business, but not in my business. I work like three to four hours a day client work, and that’s more than enough. And sometimes not even that. And the rest of the time, I do business stuff, like making my workflows better, coming up with different ideas.
But living just to work is a waste of time, and it’s a waste of a life. So do what you really enjoy doing. Don’t hustle. Don’t listen to these Twitter people.
