The right side of your brain is screaming
There might be a reason why you’re feeling lost. Maybe, like me, you too have lost that creative spark, fire, and passion you had when you first started your business.

Summary
I’ve been feeling like something was missing, and I realised I’d let the analytical side of my brain kill off my creative side. I used to make music, DJ, release records, and I don’t want to lose that creative spark. I’m going to change things, and I think you should use your creative spark too, whatever it is.

You know, something’s been bothering me for a while, for a few months, maybe even longer than that. And I couldn’t quite grasp what it was. I tried to buy things. I tried to make new friends. I try to do things slightly differently. I’ve tried basically everything I could. Even though I’m happy, I’m not sad. But something is missing and I couldn’t figure out what it was. until one day I woke up and I thought to myself, am I using the right side of my brain?
You know, this whole thing about left side, right side, left side being analytical, etc. And the right side being more creative.
I used to be a creative. I still am a creative. But I never put it to use. I never really put it to good use. Yes, people see these videos. Yes, I went on holiday and made videos. They weren’t exactly special, but you’re still creative. But it’s not like the creativity that I used to do.
For instance, I started making music back in the late 80s. I was DJing. In the 90s, I released records. In the late 90s, I was helping install studios. So I was in and around that creative buzz. But then the left side started kicking in saying, you need to get your finances together, et cetera, so on.
So the analytical part of me killed off that right side of my brain. And I fear that many people do this, get into that kind of circle of life, circle of work, where they forget that they have that right side. everyone has a creative thing within them, whether it’s making videos, podcasts, writing blog posts, posting on social media even. I mean, that’s effectively creative. But we don’t do it in a creative way. We don’t, or we don’t do it at all.
And I personally don’t want to lose that. I really don’t want to lose that creative spark that I had. So I’m going to change it. And I want to be a bit more creative. Yeah, making music, doing my videos slightly differently. I mean, I am planning on getting a new camera, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll be any more creative. It’s just the fact that I fancy a different camera, different look.
But we all have a creative, spark within us and we need to use it. You need to use it. And I’m hoping that this video course that I make will kick you up the ass effectively to say, okay, I’m going to do this. Because the course is going to be about the equipment and what you need, the tech side of things, but I want a creative element to that course as well where camera angles matter, where the colour of the colour, matters and so on. So I really want to go in depth.
So don’t lose your creative spark, however young or old you are. We all have it, and I think you should use it too.
