Using apps you already have
The simpler your workflow, the more you can get done. It sounds simple, but many don’t realise how the apps they already have on their Macs can do more than they think. With the added benefit of not spending more money too!

Summary
I was reminded today that we make things more complicated than they need to be. Apple Notes is an amazing tool. Using Apple Notes as a journal instead of a bloated app like Day One is possible. Go through your apps and stop paying for stuff you don’t need and start using what you have.

Today I was reminded via a tweet from someone I know, you’re listening, that sometimes we make things more complicated, we ourselves, even me, make things more complicated than things need to be.
Apple Notes, for instance, is an amazing tool. I’ve used it for many, many years. I have lots of stuff in it. But we are marketed in such a way where we want to use another tool. But yeah, you’ve got Apple Notes. You may as well use it.
And again, this tweet reminded me of getting rid of some of the apps that I’m using. And I’ve spoken about this before. You’ll find that the apps that you have will do a lot more than you think they can.
So for instance, this person, Paul, if you’re listening, Paul uses his Apple Notes as a journal. Now, there are journaling apps day one. I use day one. I’ve used it for many years since 2014, I think. and it’s a great app but over the years it’s just got too bloated and I hate even opening it but I kind of live in notes because I take loads of notes all the time so why don’t I just journaled in notes.
So this tweet kind of reminded me to remind you in fact of apps that you have can do a lot more than you think especially when especially the Apple apps the Mac apps they do a lot more the fact that it sinks via I cloud. It’s really simple. There’s no learning curve. I mean, notes is in that. It’s notes. Apple mail is, is email. I mean, so simple. You don’t need anything else.
And I think it might be an idea for you to go through and see what you can probably stop using, stop paying for as well, because we’re wasting money paying for these apps that are marketed at us. You use it and then realise, Well, actually, I don’t really need it.
Anyway, food for thought. Have a great day, and I’ll see you in the next one. Ciao.
