You’ll never remember everything
It’s hard to remember everything before starting a project. And it doesn’t matter how much thinking or strategy you’ve done, it doesn’t always go to plan.

I thought I had every tool I needed to take out the gas tank, but I missed a few things. Same thing happens with business tools, you always forget something. Step back, think of your workflow, work backwards, and don’t get frustrated.

It doesn’t matter how much strategy or forward thinking do you do when it comes to choosing the right tools for your business. You’re always going to forget something. So it’s always good to have a second opinion anyway.
The reason why the video is late is because I thought I had every tool that I needed to take this goddamn gas tank out of my truck because I need to change the pump within it. But no, I missed out a few things. Well, I didn’t forget about them. I just didn’t think I would need them.
And that’s the same as getting tools for your business. You don’t think you need a specific tool until you start working with a tool that you’ve picked and then realise, oh shit, I need something else. And then you start cell taping things together and then you get annoyed because one thing isn’t working and the API isn’t working and that isn’t working and then you get stuck.
So you get frustrated. But the good thing is you can step back and go, okay, well, what else do I need? And as I’ve always said, always think of your workflow, work backwards, basically, of your workflow, because you tend to work slower when you work backwards.
And once you have that workflow, then you can go and pick the right tools. But don’t forget, it doesn’t matter how much strategy you do, how much forward thinking you do, as I said, you’re always going to miss something. So don’t get frustrated like I was almost going to kick my car and smash the windows because I forgot those things.
I always think of the end result, like, okay, once I’ve done this, I know it’s going to be great. Now I’ve calmed down a little bit. I’m going to rethink what I need to do and go back again tomorrow with a smile on my face and hopefully I get it done.
I’ll see you tomorrow. I’ll let you know what’s going on tomorrow as well. See you later. Thank you.
